For some time now I have been sharing the chapter a day Bible reading plan and journaling through these chapters as we read. I have had the privilege of sharing what others are learning in multiple setting with my students, my co-teachers and my own family. What strikes me is the power of the Word to transform peoples lives. "16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righeousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
As a teacher you have the privilege of watching your students grow and develop over time. There are things that you wish you could teach them, but some things are harder than others to teach. Nevertheless, as my students began reading and journaling through Scripture, I have witnessed a remarkable transformation in their lives. We as Christian teachers need to never overlook the power of the Word of God to transform the lives of people. Because the Word of God is inspired by God Himself, the power of God is there in His Word.
When we share the word of God together it is a remarkable journey we take together. Journaling is a great tool to personally engage in the Word and keeping a record of this contemplative process in a journal is amazing. To take the things that you are gaining from God's Word, share the verses aloud and then share with others what you are learning day by day is completely transformational in all of our lives. There is nothing that has blessed me more than watching what God is doing in the lives of others as we share His word together.
I completely agree with what you are saying about journaling. When my husband and I get lay about journaling our relationship with the Father and with each other falls short. W must always remember the reality that we are spirit beings above all. Our spirits will either commune with Light or with darkness.
