The one thing that I have had to let go for the past few month has been writing this blog. I have felt challenged in many areas of life as minor health issues arose. In loyalty to God and my students I have not written on this in the past few months, but I will now take this mantel again and try to be more faithful to writing this blog on a weekly basis. I have never failed to go to work and teach my classes, care for my family and even more importantly read and share the word of God with those in my life.
For the past seven months my students and I have shared the word of God and our journaling on a daily basis. There were times when I did not feel well and did not want to go in during my lunch time and organize the prayer time, but my beautiful students have valued our prayer and devotion time so much that it transformed my own not so pretty attitudes.
Let us not ever forget the power of God's word and its importance in our lives. As the fifth and sixth graders have taught me, as we read and share God's word together, there are amazing things that happen in our lives. Now we are the losers' if we don't share both God's word and what we are learning from it together. As I have learned to become faithful and loyal to God's Word, my students and I have grown in our spiritual journeys and God has been faithful to me. God's Word has to have priority in our lives.
What a beautiful tribute to your students. They are very blessed to have been guided in God's word by a loving teacher.
