This will be a year for the record books. Rather cliché to say. "for the record books," but this year has had everything in it. We have dealt with more change in the world than I though imaginable just with Covid-19 I started this blog first for my values students in the Philippines, where I was a missionary for ten years. If "Covid rules" were not enough for everyone. In the middle of all of the lock downs and everything we moved from one side of the world to the other. I am now back in the USA and still teaching, thanks to the faithfulness of God.
I have now started other groups of people on this journey through the Word of God where we are reading the same chapter and sharing what we are learning in relationship together. It is a rich and rewarding experience. I have often in these past few months marveled at the faithfulness of God. There have been moments when I though of Abraham and his journey to Canaan where God asked him to go to "a place he would show him" (Genesis 12) When we went to the Philippines in 2010 we knew, mostly, where we were going. When we left in May we really did not know what God might have for us. We walked through a series of things and made decisions before the evidence was there for the decisions we were making.
It is easy to feel lost and forgotten when you are making major life transitions. We moved under the strangest of situations I can imagine. After all who would ever imagine the ways in which Covid-19 would change all of our lives. Sometimes we are asked to make major life decisions while having no evidence that what you are doing is in God's perfect plan. Walking by faith and not by sight does not make sense. The longer you truly walk with God the harder the faith walk tests get. If you feel lost in the middle of a life transition know that God truly has been in your tomorrow and he will bring you through and you will see his hand.
Now I don't know who will read this blog but, I will write. I say I don't know who will read it and this is so very true. In the midst of all of this change in our lives face book has decided to flag this blog and tag my content as "inappropriate", so I can't share the links to this blog on face book where my former students would know that I had written something and find it. So for those who find this blog and value the Word of God be a blessing! I will go back to writing this on a regular basis. Please lets share the Word of God together
I am just starting the Book of Luke if you wish to journey through God's Word together share what you are learning. Chapter by chapter W- word O- observation R- revelation D- devotion or your prayer
