I have not written anything for this blog in a couple of years. This is a new day. I still have a burning desire in my heart to change the way the church and the Christian school teach Bible to children. This is my heart's desire: We have to change the way children are ministered to in both the church and the Christian church. Children are our future today not in ten or fifteen years. They are able to read and understand much more of scripture than we adults ever allow. They are not afraid to walk in faith.
I started this as a platform to stay connected to students I had taught for many years while serving in the Philippines as a missionary. The inability to connect this blog to something that my former students would be able to read stopped my from writing for too long. Now it doesn't matter who can or cannot read this I will write for whoever God desires to see this. The time is now to challenge the body of Christ to change the way we see and interact with children. It is time we empower kids to be and do all God has for them. Acts 10 tells the story of a Centurian praying for a pharisee. This should not have happened it was not the lawful way things worked according to the Jewish understanding of things. We know that man that was prayed for today as the Apostle Paul. God does not look at our kids and say wait till they grow up then I will empower them and use them. We are losing one of our most valuable resources in the church if we hold back the children until they are mature.
I am looking forward to improving my interaction with children using the Bible.
